How to play The Count
The mechanical shift is the clearest editorial detail here. The Bonus Spins game begins when three or more Coins land on the grid, awarding five Bonus Spins. A Plus Coin mechanic can extend that round, positioning the title around bonus-spin play rather than the coin-collection format of its predecessors.
That distinction is worth flagging because the prior Oktoberfest titles were explicitly Hold and Win games chasing Mini and Mega prize tiers. Lucky Fest Hold and Win is set on a 3×3 reel with 27 pay lines that offer plenty of opportunities to win. It runs an RTP of 97.1% and high volatility.
By switching the engine while keeping the theme constant, 1spin4win appears to be testing variety within an established seasonal shell. That’s a step beyond simply reskinning the same math each year.
What is The Count?
The methods allegedly used by the duo mirror those employed by organized crews in a wave of burglaries targeting gaming establishments across the state, particularly in the Chicago suburbs.
Police allege Heckman and Ziemer typically gained entry through the roof, cut the power, and used sledgehammers and crowbars to smash or remove ATMs.
Their targets included Nellie’s Tavern in Decatur, where an ATM was stolen July 17, and Debbie’s Gaming, also in Decatur, where thieves failed to pry an ATM from the floor July 30.
About The Count
The DSWV, representing licensed sports-betting operators, broadly welcomed the law enforcement action as a necessary response to the illegal market’s growth and associated risks.
“This successful investigation clearly demonstrates the scale that the illegal gambling market has now reached,” said Mathias Dahms, president of the DSWV.
Dahms highlighted the significant dangers unlicensed operators pose to player protection and the overall integrity of the licensed market. He cited the absence of controls such as deposit limits, identity verification and player suspension tools.
